Join Bayview Community Centre’s Governance Board!
Bayview Community Centre is seeking a committed and financially skilled individual to join our governance board as Treasurer.

About Us
Bayview Community Centre is a vibrant hub at the heart of Bayview on Auckland’s North Shore. We offer a wide range of activities, events, room hire and services to the local community including an Early Learning Centre and accredited Out of School Care programmes. We have a team of passionate staff and volunteers that promote connection, resilience, and belonging in the Bayview CommUNITY.
Role: Treasurer (Governance Board Member)
As Treasurer, you’ll play a vital governance role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our incorporated society and registered charity. You’ll work closely with the outgoing Treasurer, the Chair, Centre Managers, and fellow board members to provide oversight of budgets, reporting, compliance, and financial strategy. Board Meetings are held monthly in the Community Centre.
We’re looking for someone who:

Has financial literacy and experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management

Can interpret financial reports and communicate them to a non-financial audience

Understands (or is willing to learn) the obligations of NZ not-for-profit boards (e.g. Charities Services reporting, Incorporated Societies Act)

Has integrity, community spirit, and is willing to commit 4–6 hours per month

Lives in Bayview or has a connection to our local community.
Bonus: Experience with Xero, community grants, or NFP governance would be helpful.
